Same guy: You'd boost Cuomo too if you watched Chicago's mayor Brandon Johnson's tenure in office and Cuomo was the "center-left" option. Johnson is very close to Mamdani ideologically. MBJ hasn't been the complete horror show he's sometime is painted as (violent crime has dipped), but it's been very bad. 2 TO lake county democrat @lakecou... 4mo Replied to jesse Muted by "Followers of Jesse Singal" Cuomo has far better policies than Mamdani - the question is whether you throw the city under the bus for the sake of having an ethical mayor. Chicago faced this choice last election and went with the former (who is almost identical to Mamdani ideologically) and it's been an unmitigated disaster.

A broad city street. In the middle, surrounded by orange traffic barrels, a squarish section of road has been gouged away, leaving a depression that is maybe half a foot deep. Through the middle, parallel to the road, are 3 thick rusty lines: old streetcar rails.
