As an AuDHDer ... if you ask me how I am handling a given situation ... and I say "This is fine" ... I mean ... this *exact* precarious situation is currently viable and can be tolerated for the time being ... but even a minor shift might be more than I can deal with.

This isn't to say that there aren't concerted efforts to demonise disabled people. There are. And that makes the chance of backlash for discriminating against us lower. But people don't need to hate us to discriminate against us - it just needs to be convenient.

You don't need a secret lobby group issuing top-down orders to make companies discriminate against disabled people, for example. You don't need a widespread campaign about how terrible we are. If left to it, companies will discriminate against us anyway, because it's simply more profitable to do so.

It would be ideal if the national guard stepped up and arrested the DC capitol security police.
Speak to your friends, neighbors, relatives who are in the guard and encourage them to speak to their respective units.
If they're going to rip up the constitution, it's time for action.

At some point, and hopefully soon, the national guard will need to be called in to arrest the capitol security police who are enforcing illegal EOs.

And no I’m not saying that disabled people, unemployed people, kids, etc. are burdens but as a disabled and chronically ill person who can’t do “traditional” work, that’s how we’re perceived. Perhaps they won’t say it as cruelly as we are usually hear (lazy, worthless, etc) but it’s what they see.
