I think the chances of Dems losing NC or GA in 2026 is very low.

Big Q is Maine and if Dems can peel one or two more out of the red states. Brown would def be competitive in OH (though note he’d have to win re-election in 2028)

I continue to believe the process we got was superior to a primary. Kamala had a lot of leeway to tack right that she wouldn’t have had she needed to compete in a primary

Yeah I think this is the biggest splinter statement in rationalism. I strongly agree but many don’t

One sucky thing about how Twitter/Bluesky work is that you only hear when Trump’s approval rating when it goes down, and not when it goes up. Well it’s gone up since tariffs have faded from the news. Not good!

Apparently there's a romanian election today and nobody knows who will come in second. Probably Antonescu (center/center-right) but would be fun if it's Dan, a random centrist mathematician

The news of Marco Rubio’s new job reminded me of this

Posting, for the record, that this is totally outrageous, so much so that I would consider voting Republican on the state level in Maine as punishment.

I’m reasonably unconcerned about free speech, the Trump stuff is rather patchwork and doesn’t seem to generally change the information environment

But man is it still worse than I ever expected

I think it's interesting that Elon's approval has stabilized since ~early March while Trump's continues to fall. Backs up the idea that it's not DOGE doing the lifting
