Read Full Metal Alchemist as a vulnerable Youth(tm) and wanted to be Winry SO bad. Ended up taking Robotics engineering and one day my classmate asked me, "why aren't you in an art course if you're always drawing?" Ended up dropping out for 3D arts and anim. Now I help manage people in film!

Yes it’s:
The slop
The theft
The brainrot
The loss of work
The crumbling of creator rights
The destroying of the environment and infrastructure
But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you.
Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical.
Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school.
It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.

alright, here's some early design stuff. none of it is final at this stage and I'm especially going back and forth on how I want to handle colors for the project as a whole.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.
