To each their own. I don't disagree that there's beauty to simplicity, but I just feel like mainstream design language has been tending a bit *too* much towards simple, and it's only now starting to be steered back to something with a bit more color.

That would be nice, but I'm pretty sure they're also working towards building their own AI, or at least get the LLMs they use running locally (or on our own servers).

(But check to make sure the person isn't a Buddhist first)

Guess you could say I'm a very nostalgia-driven person, but even if I weren't, everything these days is just so drab and bleak to look at. I got unreasonably excited when I customized my start menu with Open-Shell.

If it were even remotely feasible, I'd switch back to an older Windows OS in a heartbeat. But as it stands, I'll just have to see what I can do to customize Linux Mint whenever I get around to installing that.

The sad part about all of this is that some of my coworkers are *already* on to the fact that LLMs aren't all they're cracked up to be, yet the sunk cost fallacy seems to be strong with them.

Sounds more like a gang of red pandas to me.

Next time one of my coworkers tries to help me with or suggest that I use AI, I think I'm just going to bluntly tell them no. Getting kinda sick of smiling and nodding about a tool that (to me, at least) is *worse than useless.*

It's just... it boggles the mind. How can they even subscribe to the use of a tool that is this unreliable?
