Well, looks like I've hit a snag with my attempted Linux adoption. Linux Mint doesn't play nice with my GPU (AMD Radeon RX550) at all, resulting in nothing but a garbled screen unless I boot it in compatibility mode.

You know, I'm starting to realize I... actually kinda miss Clippy. As well as the dog and those other assistants from Windows XP's search function.

Speaking of AI, yesterday I had another case of a coworker trying to give me advice that they got from an LLM and it turned out completely useless. At this point, if AI *does* help me solve a problem, it's gonna be more of a fluke than anything.

This whole Vine revival thing really goes to show that genAI is unsustainable in every single way. Like, how pathetic does your tool have to be if the quality of its output implodes on itself if it doesn't keep being fed fresh, human-made data?
