Decided the kroot was done

Krootox progress.
My next goal is rough out the feet and quils.
I tried to do a tail but there was a lot of blow out and I think I just haven't left myself space for one. I would like to think of someway to add interest to the back.

Started carving a Krootox

Being an adult means no longer seeing your parents as just, non-person "Mum and Dad", and instead as people you'd have actively avoided in school and lodged formal complaint about their conduct in the workplace.

Told my partner earlier that I was proud to have gotten so close to 30 without having a quarter life crisis. Only for him to inform me that my entire 20s was one.

Can't believe news outlets would rather lie about the simpsons than the tell truth about the president.

Sick of seeing people use code words like "unalive" and "grape" to talk about complex subjects because "the algorithms would suppress me."
You're minimising mature subjects in order to get around systems designed to safeguard children.

The Name of Rose

HARD ❌

“Monasterium sine libris est sicut civitas sine opibus, castrum sine numeris, coquina sine suppellectili, mensa sine cibis, hortus sine herbis, pratum sine floribus, arbor sine foliis...”

EASY✅

"some Latin shit."
MOBY DICK

HARD ❌

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.

EASY ✅

Ishy poor. Ishy bored. Ishy go fishy.
THE BELL JAR

HARD ❌

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York

EASY ✅

That summer was sizzling, and so were the Rosenbergs

Got this yellow Play it Loud Gameboy DMG recently and cleaned it up.
Got the dirt and ink off, but in the right light you can still see where a previous owner carved their name on the front which is kinda cool.
The replacement screen I got is the wrong shade but atleast it's not falling off anymore.

Being part of an all trans women friend group is great until one of you buys new warhammer and suddenly it's a bigger arms race than the cold war.

I finished the Name of the Rose today and was surprised to find that the kindle and audible versions are missing the post script in the paperback.
Wild that a book (in part) about the loss of information and misinformation has missing information for the same editions in different formats.

Every, single, person I meet is on our side.

Every, single, person I speak to, for more than 10 seconds says, they think trans people should be allowed to exist in peace.

Every, single, one of them, needs to stop fucking telling me and start telling those in power.

Without downloading any new pictures, what is your mental state?

One thing that makes me feel better about what's going on in the UK as a trans person 🏳️‍⚧️ is seeing how many trade unions are on our side.

One of my biggest fears at the moment is being forced out of my place of work, and not being able to make ends meet. But seeing their support brings me hope.

Share the last 4 RPGs you played or ran:

- Batman Gotham City Chronicles
- Wrath and Glory
- Alien The Role Playing Game
- Dungeons and Dragons 5e

Maybe I should run call of cthulhu or Gundam to knock that last one of the list 🤔
Share the last 4 RPGs you played or ran:

Mothership
Cepheus Engine

Love Akira but I think I've only seen it twice.

I watched this with my dad so much that this gesture became our not so subtle sign to each other that somone, was talking absolute rubbish for far too long.

Movie you've watched more than 6 times using Gifs.

(non star wars, star treck, or LOTR)

"with a bone shaking cry of Pony" - Ciaphas Cain. Caves of Ice by Sandy Mitchell.

"what kind of Pony do you drink in the dark?" The Watchmaker of filigree street by Natasha Pulley.
One Pony to rule them all, one Pony to find them, one Pony to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

(Sorry, couldn't resist).
Not 40k, but in the spirit of this

Aragorn:
If by my life or death I can protect you, I will. You have my pony...

Legolas:
...and you have my pony...

Gimli:
...and my pony.

Boromir:
You carry the fate of us all, little one. If this is indeed the will of the Council, then ponies will see it done.

Pretty sickened by UK's Supreme Court 🤮

So I'm opening my submission inbox to unagented trans authors in the UK until the END OF APRIL. I'm not currently open to general subs BUT if you're a trans author writing folk horror, weird, experimental, mystery, literary/upmkt fiction, take a look below 👇

Currently listening to the Hymn to Dyonisus by @natashapulley.bsky.social I'm really enjoying the way Pulley is describing the physical absence of a loved once after they pass and how that feeling can be a shadow over everything we do.
Also loving the narration by Sid Sagar. A great performance.

Me: please don’t use ChatGPT, even tasks that you’d never pay a creative for in the first place, and so are not depriving humans of work, are massively resource-intensive and killing the planet.

Half Of Facebook, Apparently: this is what I’d look like as a Barbie!

Had a really fun weekend away in Nottingham with some great friends. Spent most of it in Warhammer World playing 40k.
My Imperial Guard faced off against Death Guard and World Eaters.
