Mean Girls suck. A friend posted a video that I have seen on Instagram for a while, it's a really sweet thank you from a trans guy who is also formerly identified as a stone butch to high femmes, in a group for butches and femmes. This video has gotten a lot of attention recently, because it is good

When citizens demand the best from their leaders and their countries — justice, accountability in government, and equal rights for all — everyone benefits. In other words, dissent isn't distracting or divisive: it's patriotic!

I really wish I could go back to 2016 and 2021, to those key moments that led to what we are experiencing today, and show some of these people that tried to explain it away where their work is going. I'm genuinely concerned for my neighbors, not just me. I can't imagine 2029.

The richest men in the world are on stage with Trump.

The real dividing line in this country is not between right and left, it’s between oligarchs and the people.

The rest is a distraction — And it’s how they keep power.

Had a new strange achievement unlocked tonight, I managed to work through the whole 12 hours that I'm allowed to by Lyft before I have to stop and sleep for 6 hours. Never done that before, and wasn't planning on it tonight, but I just kept getting really interesting passengers. 1/10

Finding out that there are writers who write about kinds of relationships that I've had and that I want in my future was amazing. Finding their books and reading them validates me in a way I didn't know I needed. The only problem? I feel like I may never find the person I need, and that's scary. 1/2

I've read this book, I read it last night. I don't usually like Butch / Butch romances, because I love Butches and I'm not one. But we don't have to see ourselves in a story to enjoy it, and this was an epic story in a very short format. It was also exactly what I needed to read.
Char Dafoe isn't on bsky, and @paintedheartspub.bsky.social hasn't promoted this book yet, so...

A rural lesbian erotica that promises fiery heat encompassed in the aspects of life we all yearn for--acceptance, love, and a place to call home.

Balancing my desire to throw myself head first at a cute butch with my reality that I am a lot to date, and that I don't need to take the first thing offered if it's not what I actually want is one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. One of these days, I'll find my match.

There are at least three protests planned for tomorrow in the Atlanta area. I don't do marches, because I still don't do walking well after the stroke, but I will definitely be talking them up at every opportunity as I drive for Lyft tomorrow.
Tomorrow there are marches all across the nation. Please consider joining: action.womensmarch.com/calendars/pe...

An old quote that probably rings even truer today. My grandmother often saw Huxley checking out his sales at bookshops in 1930s London. Unfortunately, she never approached him or I might be in possession of a first edition signed copy of Brave New World. Sigh.

Storytelling. Sometimes it's important for us to hear the stories of other people. Storytelling is also what I was told lies were when I was a kid. I think we may just have entered the era of the lying newspaper, but in a much bigger way than anybody ever thought we would. This is not normal.
They obeyed in advance…AGAIN!

The Washington Post killed off its "Democracy Dies In Darkness" slogan.

New slogan: “Riveting Storytelling for All of America.”

I've been toying back and forth with the idea of getting off Facebook for at least the weekend, and for Monday. I frankly can't stand the idea of being on Facebook on Monday. I don't want to give that man any roses, even if he thinks he's earned them. So I'm coming over here, because this feels /?

I've got to go back and check my history to see if I have any of these, but if you have any Neil gaiman audiobooks from audible, you can return them no matter when you bought them. For those of us who are sickened by the story about what he was responsible for, it seems only fair.
PSA.

and thank you, audible.
Just a heads up for peeps, if you bought a Neil Gaiman audiobook from Audible, they are allowing refunds for them with no questions asked and no matter how long ago you bought them. I don’t even have an active subscription and they gave me credits back for two titles purchased in 2020.

Tammy Duckworth is one of the women that I admire most in our government right now, and I'm so glad she handed him his ass.
Peter Hegseth didn't wake up today thinking that it would be women who'd hand him his ass in front of millions of Americans watching.

Tammy Duckworth is a role model for women everywhere.🔥
