Again, high femme defending a butch. They are transgender and still identify as part of the Butch community. That's the whole point of this video is that they are thanking high femmes for defending them. And now I'm getting attacked for defending them. Does anybody else see the irony?

However, this time instead of getting attention for being sweet, the creator is attacked in the group for being a misogynist because they have excluded all femmes but those of us that identify as high femmes. I am a high femme, and I try to explain the context as to why this person made this video.

She had heard the term high femme before, in a romance novel. She thought it described her and thought she would borrow it to try it on. She and I talked about what that really means and said that she's not just trying it on. It's hers. Labels can be limiting, but they can also be empowering. 4/10

My new high femme friend and I have swapped Instagram handles and are now following each other, which is cool. She'd never read The Persistent Desire, or Stone Butch Blues. So I pointed her to those as a start. Unfortunately, The Persistent Desire is out of print but there are PDFs online. 3/10
