Today we stood with the Teamsters, Comptroller Brad Lander, Council Member Tiffany Cabán, and others calling for changes to last mile delivery services that ensure workers and communities have the protections they deserve.

As last mile delivery continues to expand, New York must ensure that our streets and workers are safe for everyone. This looks like expanding the commercial cargo bike program, increasing neighborhood loading zones, and expanding smart curbs.

Our new report found significant increases in traffic crashes, worker injuries & pollution in areas surrounding #LastMile facilities – neighborhoods which have higher concentrations of Black and Latine New Yorkers.
