2. We are going to need everyone.
3. Other lifeforms are sentient and valuable.

Well, of course it is Ottawa's fault, dontcha know?
This didn't happen overnight - the UCP govt ignored warnings and did nothing.

Youth unemployment is out of control.

It's time for solutions and not excuses.

Alberta has the fastest-growing unemployment rate in the country, and it’s hitting young men the hardest.

We can do better.

Better is possible. #VoteforBetter

Hi Dr. Mary:
After the sellout (no other way to put it) of the Avro Arrow - Canada got the Bomarc missile defense system which was designed for an earlier and slower, but similar, icbm assault.
Same story. When you hit a missile from Russia or China (and now North Korea) it comes down in Canada.
Canada is being pressured to invest $61B in Trump’s golden dome that shoots down nuclear missiles BEFORE they get to the U.S. ‘homeland’

Me: if they’re shot down OVER Canada, do we have to deal with nuclear fallout?

Excellent point.
Margaret MacMillan pointed out that many great nations felt that the youth of the day needed toughened up by a war. Delusional!
Now is as good of a time as ever to read up on mid 1930s Germany and 1940s France.
My problem with WW2 nostalgia is because it's rarely used to say "look at the stuff these ordinary people had to do to fight against fascism, let's never make people have to do this ever again" it's almost always "kids these days could never storm Normandy, a good war would toughen them up."

The reality should occur to separatists that Alberta currently exists within a federation that has access to tidewater. An independent Alberta is landlocked. Int'l negotiations are req'd for trade.

And being part of the USA, as a state? Well, I can hear it now. "You just don't have the cards".
"A majority of AB separatists (62%) report feeling somewhat or very attached to Canada. While that proportion is lower than among non-separatists (88%), it is still considerably higher than one would expect among people genuinely committed to separating from the rest of the country." The point should be raised that the threshold for a recall of the Premier of Alberta has just gotten closer.
“Let this serve as your formal notice: your separatist efforts will fail. The strength of our Treaties and the resolve of our People are immovable. We will protect our lands and our rights with fierce determination.”

Saddle Lake Cree Nation would like a word with The premier.

Appreciate your clarity, but how did you all let it get to this?
Agreed. On all fronts.
It’s becoming more and more obvious to me…that we…as every day democracy loving citizens of this country, will prevent the fascists from crushing democracy.

It will possibly be ugly…very ugly…and it damn sure won’t be easy…but there is no one but us. There. Is. No. One. But. Us.

Dr. Mary:
I agree that health care is extremely dire for many Canadians, but, similar to me singing and folks asking what did I do with money for voice lessons - the Provinces have to answer a similar question about what they did with their Medicare allocations.
I voted for Prime Minister Carney but I have a serious concern: what is he doing to improve healthcare access and the number of doctors in Canada?

Over 6.5M don’t have even a family doctor and the wait times for specialists is dangerously long.

What is the plan @markcarney.bsky.social?
apple.news/ACkUGlWbQRl2... For Carney, the plan lays out how he’ll cover his key election promise to galvanize the Canadian economy, boost government investments to make the country less reliant on the U.S. for its economic and security stability, while reducing the operating costs of government.

"The time to buy is when there is blood in the streets".

Trump has created the bloodletting.

Now he and his fellow felons and, more importantly, people who have liquid resources on hand (billionaires) are buying the low cost stocks from frantic companies.

And there you have it folks.
The fix is in.
A hand picked Bush appointee and an ally of Trump on the USA Supreme Court has defied the constitution and handed the USA to insurrectionists.

Men die.
Justices of the US Supreme Court get to retire.
NEWS: Chief Justice John Roberts has issued an administrative stay pausing the court order requiring Kilmer Abrego Garcia, a man wrongfully sent to an El Salvadoran prison camp, to be returned by midnight tonight.

I detest Trump, but the plan from people around him is going along just fine!
Trump has damaged America forever.

We're now viewed as an unreliable partner - business can never trust him and any government policy - our allies don't see us as an ally anymore - our enemies are emboldened.

Trump destroyed our soft power advantage.

This is the level of rigor that PP gives to his research?

What utter disrespect PP has for his supporters.
Somehow I’m now on Pierre’s email list — today he sent me a silly survey. I’m a sucker for surveys (even silly conservative ones) and happily supplied him some feedback, signed up for the “woke Liberals” team and provided him with a fake email.

I think that every conversation with Conservative minds in Alberta should start
(and would probably end)
with:
"Because of PP, Preston and Danielle, I am voting Liberal."

Might work, could help, and would certainly save each of us a lot of time.

What malicious hypocrisy!

Free movement to North America? Why not go directly to El Salvador?
Musk breaks with Trump and says he hopes the U.S. and Europe move to "a zero tariff situation" and says he wants "more freedom of people to move between Europe and North America."

"That has certainly been my advice to the president," he says.

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the death of the United States of America (USA).

They were found deceased on 02 April 2025 at 4 PM Eastern Time/

Authorities confirm that death was from self-inflicted wounds. and no suspects are sought at this time.

The USA is survived by former Allies:

Did I miss Canada?
BREAKING: THE ECONOMY!

Trump has just imposed a 25% tariff on ALL foreign made automobiles.

$12,500 more for a $50k car
$15,000 more for a $60k car
$25k more for a $100k car

That's called inflation.

Here are the countrywide tariffs.

UCP Leadership is acting identically to Trump in their disregard for Canada's collective response by the Treasonous Activities contrary to the interests of Albertans.
Quisling!
Danielle Smith and Preston Manning are the biggest threats to national unity there is absolutely nothing that would make them happy. Mark Carney is the best leader we have right now from all political spectrums.

Core to Right Wing Theocracy is the IDU.
Big Daddy is Preston.
IDU Doctrine endorsing Hungary under Orban, India under Modi, Slovakia, etc.

Hopefully, USA contracting the "Project2025" plague might just inoculate Canada from any further flirtations with those showing the nasty symptoms.
Opinion: Preston Manning, the CPC and the UCP, and the IDU pose a threat to national unity.

What does the latest amendment to the USA Constitution, the one that makes treason punishable by Life in prison (in a Democratic country, not with friendly dictators like El Salvador), actually say?
Shall we dream of something greater?
