This is also why GovHK is arresting ppl for sedition cos they said relevant govt officials are partly to blame and should also be held accountable. If there's one thing this govt has made clear, it's that you do NOT get to blame the govt for anything it isn't willing to take responsibility for.

Yesterday, I was able to find the words for the deep discomfort I feel around people who are unsettled and unhappy in their own skin (not due to circumstances, but chronically so). There's a tacit expectation that you'll play small and commiserate with them.

honestly one of my favorite things, seeing just how quickly some non-asian (usually white) dude who's never been in asian longer than two weeks decides he knows more about asian history/culture/behavior/politics etc., than any asian woman
