You going to kill the egg sacs? Or do you want more of these to exist?

Ecstatic to see my #gamejam do as well as it did.

Ranked 180th out of 1181 Jam entries for #ludumdare.

It's the inspiration for what I'm working on now... and I learned a ton from it for a possible #indiegame.

An example of smashing an NPC with a box.

In the process of figuring out how to make puzzles and make interesting gameplay without adding "direct" combat.

Refining moving block mechanics. You can now ledge climb on stacked boxes.

HELP! Not sure which style to go with.

1) No outlines (left)
2) Environment outlines, but not char (right, left char)
3) All outlines (right, right char)

Any help and recommendations please. Which one makes the most sense?

After copious amounts of debugging, the ledge climb is now implemented.

Took a much longer than I thought. Now time to iron out the bugs!

Neat little bug while getting the push and pull mechanic to feel good.

My version of "greyboxing" to start prototype mechanics.

I need SOMETHING to look at to keep sane, but not spending too much time on art so I can focus on fleshing out mechanics.

Plus, it'll prob take me 5x as long as a real artist to make something of quality, lol.

I'm trying!!! (programmer trying to do art)

More of a "programmer artist", but really proud of the progress I am making:

Decided to take a step back from 3D (3d assets take too much time in story-driven games).

Now working on a JRPG. After a week and a half of hard programming, finally got some haphazard barebones working.

I just spent 8 hours replacing 3 window regulators in my car. I'm confident when I say... I'm not cut out for the trades.

I'm going to stick with #development... please AI don't replace me!

Got elevation working.

Finally back to the project after finishing my school capstone. Nice to be back in #unity after a hard 8-9 days of web dev.

I think prototyping comes in 2 stages. Testing the core mechanic and then testing the game loop. The core mechanic felt good. Controlling an airship is awesome!

..But then I started on the actual project and realized so many things are still unproven. I'm just on stage 2.

Trying to figure out if it is too obtrusive to put this in the middle of the ship instead of making it a cockpit button and removing the bar.

Don't want the player to feel like their vision is obstructed. (using placeholder art to represent the idea)

Important thing is to start, no matter what race you are in.

The foundation is coming along. Not trying to reveal too much about the idea yet, but I think a public prototype is feasible in 2 months time.

Getting the prototype version of the chain wep working!

Planning on 2, maybe 3 wep platforms that you change types throughout the campaign.

(I guess bsky mutes the real word for this, so using wep instead)

At 2AM I was too tired to code up the chain gun mounts, so I did a little set dressing with lights and sounds to capture the feel of the game a bit more.

Starting working on the controls and navigation. Figuring out a nice blend of realistic feel but also making sure it's still fun to control.

I want navigation to be a foundation for the gameplay to create strategic experiences, not to be overly hard.

I'm torn between the headache of how long it's taken to reach this point and the satisfaction of how extensible the code is for equippable objects.

So much functionality to add to this airship, I'm super excited!

Finally got it working to make equippable items scalable. Now all logic is handled in the equippable interface which will make it much easier to handle multiple equippable consoles.
