My favorite part about interim agreements is when really, really small indie and solo devs have absolutely no problem signing them. It makes those big studios look even less reasonable than usual for being stubborn about AI protections. Keep that up, I love to see it!

This is 100% untrue. I am based in the UK and joined SAG in 2023. In fact, one year’s membership of any actors’ union SAG considers a sister union is a valid way to join!

I find it extremely, extremely hard to believe that a VA from Houston, TX who is so engaged with indie VO, auditioning for projects being cast in America, and is following several striking voice actors who have been super vocal about the strike... did not know about the strike.

Try to understand, from the voice actors’ perspective, that Hoyo looking for actors living outside the US is specifically a method to avoid addressing the reasonable demands of the striking actors. And as a result, Jacob taking the role isn’t okay. Because he’s allowing that method to work.
