I don’t do commercial xmas either, but I have come to appreciate the “holiday spirit” insofar as society adopts a “let’s come back to that after the holidays” attitude, i.e., temper our expectation of immediate-everything for like two weeks & I wish it didn’t require xmas for that to be normative.
