I played football in the early 90s when sadly women’s football was not taken seriously. We were proving ourselves in a male environment. To see the game come so far makes me so proud. Respect to #Lionesses for changing the game forever 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️

Sad about the loss of Martin Amis. He was, in person, warm, charming and generous. It was a life highlight to have met him and exchange stories about our families. Gone too soon. RIP

The remarkable @nataliehaynes.bsky.social has arrived. Far and away my favourite stand-up classicist and novelist. Probably she sits down for the novels. But also, stand-up. Follow her and help her flee the Other Place.

I applaud them for pushing back against the bullies and bigots 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽We have to protect our right to read freely.
Love this new lawsuit by PEN American, Penguin Random House, authors and parents against Florida school district banning books. This is a serious and needed push forward.

I feel SO lucky to experience the magic of theatre and storytelling at its most beautiful at the Royal Shakespeare Company. And renewed hope that telling difficult stories can make a difference to what’s broken in our world.
