Interesting...as a tax person, I like this idea - check out the rest of the thread. Question is how to implement it without having big penalties and interest added on top due to underpayment and late payment.
I’m thinking about federal income tax.
If the federal government isn’t meeting its obligations why should we?
Specifically, I’d love to see states get the money first and hold it in trust pending litigation. I want to pay my taxes but not to a government that doesn’t respect the constitution.

And here's the sad thing: his team probably doesn't even understand what's going on in an income tax return much less other types of returns like estate or gift. And what's a fiduciary? 🙄
NEW: My office is hearing that DOGE is now at the IRS. That means Musk's henchmen are in a position to dig through a trove of data about every taxpayer in America. And if your refund is delayed, they could very well be the reason.
