Trump has said they've taken in trillions (that's with a T) in tariffs. There should be no need to raise the debt ceiling, right? There would be no threat of a republican Shutdown if Trump wasn't lying about tariff income!

I'm telling you, They say the COVID years took a serious mental toll on people. Someday, I'm betting the mental toll of the Trump years will be right up there as well. Not even 7 months into this term yet, and the stress levels, fear, worry, anxiety, etc are already at high levels for many.

One thing this nightmare has shown me is just how fragile our institutions and systems are. It seems that most things simply relied on individuals doing their jobs in an honest manner. It also shows how weak our elected representatives are when faced with right and wrong.

Trump lies again about DEI, stating mentally ill people are air traffic controllers due to Biden and Obama. I had to turn off the news conference when his appointees each began their statements kissing Trumps ass and thanking him for his leadership. We're doomed!

I was asked, if I owned a sports team, wouldn't I want the best and not have to choose because of DEI? They thought they won the argument. My answer - Jackie Robinson was a better player than most on MLB teams but shut out due to color. Had DEI been a thing, he would have been on a team far sooner.
