I’m horrified by the murder of two Israeli embassy staffers at an event in DC last night.
The fact that the gunman said he did it to “free Palestine” makes me nauseous. Murdering people for their nationality is never acceptable and this violence hurts Jews, Israelis, *and* Palestinians.

Indeed, we need to isolate the radical antisemitic/Israel positions and people away from the pro Human Rights position for Palestinians. One can recognise and speak to / about the injustice in the region without defaulting to an implied 'Israel must disappear' narrative.
I can’t name an Israeli who’s done more than Yuval Abraham to expose Israel’s genocidal abuses since 10-7.
Some reactions to his speech, though, make clear that, for a segment of the left, no Israeli who doesn’t call for Israel’s destruction & support terror against their own people will be enough.

Correct. If the birthdate field contains corrupt or mismatched data, it defaults to 1875-05-20, which serves as a flag. May 20, 1875, is the day the international standards and metrics treaty was signed. Everything is a conspiracy when you don’t know how anything works.

I really recommend this book from @dmavin.bsky.social. More than mapping the collapse of the major Swiss bank Credit Suisse, it shows that the bank has a horrible history of criminality abetting criminality, incompetence and deeply unethical practices. Could be defined as an Organised Crime Group.

Absolutely correct from @sdlp.bsky.social - where is the sense of saying "drive less", when buses are unreliable, bus lanes are extremely limited, and active travel is unsupported.
