I found about aphantasia about 15 years ago.
Before that I thought that “picture in your mind” was a metaphor, and didn’t realize it was a thing that others could actually do.
I have no “minds eye”, and also no episodic or visual memory - but very good spatial and semantic memory.

In the late 90’s I was on IRC, originally as “anymouse” (shortened from anonymouse to fit in an 8 character limit)
Folks assumed I was a mouse though so to make it more dragony I flipped it backwards (Esuomyna) and changed letters until it sounded better (Asunyra)
Dumb name that stuck since : P

- Yeah can you change my account name from “Miss” to “Ms”?
