Setting up my @tiredworldstudio.bsky.social #terrain for my first game of #Frostgrave tonight! I thought I had a ton, but it still feels sparse to me. 3p on a 4' wide hex table, so we start on every other edge. Think random monster spawns will come in via d12 like clock directions. Should be good!

Looking for some other boxes to use, found some old MTG and Rage boxes! Think these are 4th ed and Ice Age starters.

I got a Gundam CCG deck, so I printed a neat gear deckbox. When opened, the gears raise the center up. Used some purple/black filament to make it look neat.
Like $3 of filament and 5 hours of printing for this.

Got all 30 of my Mordheim humans on round bases! Should be able to cobble a few Frostgrave warbands from these.

1.5 hours later, and like 30 cents of PETG filament and I have 25 more 25mm bases to rebase these Mordheim dudes on (to be used in Frostgrave).
November 16, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Oh yep, 25mm it was. I have a bunch of 25mm bases printed out to use. My daughters have theirs color coded here, mango and "lake mist" or something. I have some printed in lavender too, for my eventual frostgrave boxes.

Clipping some #mordheim minis off the sprue! Need to make some Frostgrave crews so my friends can try it out. Thinking of rebasing onto 25mm? 28mm? (I forget) circle bases .

Finished painting another Hexengarde #terrain building! First one that has random cloth draped on it, so I decided to add a bit of color.
I also did the wood in a much quicker method (messy heavy drybrush).

It reminds me of oldschool D&D art. The zoomed out bits can be sketchy, though the details are still really good. Everything seems well designed, I love the architecture to it all.

Got Tower Dungeon 3 yesterday, which means I'm rereading #2 before I read this new one. Such a cool series so far. Dungeon Meshi without the cooking focus, and grittier.

My wife made hedgehog buns yesterday! They were really good and cute.

Not a boardgame, but this SNES box always made me laugh. It's just a sidescroller space shooter game like Gradius. There is nothing about a farmer with a banjo in it.

Doing some terrain painting in the basement today while my kids play. I didn't realize that the LED ceiling lights all throughout provide some amazing light for painting. Way better than the kitchen table light.

Getting the stonework done today, at least.

At the thrift shop, i got excited when i saw the TSR logo, and then uncovered some random very non-TSR board game.
What is Crosscheck??

Painted some flames! I didn't try any OSL though (yet...)
These are my first painted lanterns, which are basically boxy flames and not too bad to do.

One neat part about this print is the central fountain is removable. There is an alternate center bit for a raised plinth instead of a fountain (which i didn't print).

Painted up the big Hexengarde fountain 3d print #terrain! Even used some Realistic Water to muddy up the stagnant pool.

Rare pic of me! For Halloween, I was a plague doctor, walking around with my wife and kids. Got a bunch of "Cool, plague doctor!" but one lady was like "Are you some kind of Raven Man?" EHH kinda??

The lenses fogged instantly though, so I basically just followed the blur I recognized to be my kids.

Painted up three prints of the Hexengarde measuring tool. It's neat, like a sample of how the terrain prints, but it's a ruler! It has 6", 3", 2" and 1" sides.

Bulk crafting silently added??
October 30, 2025 at 1:50 PM
2025 pumpkins! I carved the face, and my wife carved the rest with help from our kids.

Finished bridge! I love these stone and metal pieces, they're so easy to paint. Base, pick out individual stones, drybrush, pick out metals. Four colors, being sloppy is fine.
October 27, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Stones picked out on my mobile craft station (an extra Kallax upright I use as a mini table).
Last two steps are drybrush and metals, which are easy. These two should get finished today.

Update, did two. The little remaining wall corner and the ruined bridge. Slopped the base charcoal gray over the entire things.
