It's such simple design. When the user puts items in their shopping cart, then decides to make an account... preserve the shopping cart. What's so hard about that?

Is it still a "parking lot sale" if it's not in the parking lot, and it's just the usual set of weekly coupons?

I am very confused by the white, American couple who "set the gold standard" for ramen shops in Philly, pulling up roots and moving to Tokyo to open a ramen shop there.

Like, you are a big fish in a small pond here. In Tokyo, you're going to be nobody. You're going to be _foreigners_ trying to […]

When I bought this little Pyle receiver/amplifier, the fact that the remote was very limited and it had manual volume control wasn't a big deal because I put it right next to my desk.

Now it's 6 feet away and I'm regretting my decisions.

Because Phillip Glass sometimes needs the volume […]

Local indie radio station has now played 7 David Bowie songs in a row since the top of the hour. Suspecting this has something with tomorrow being the 10th anniversary of his death.

Hey, hey... get this! I put something in a "safe place" three years ago, and when I needed it, I said, "I wonder if I put it in this logical 'safe place'?" and LOOK... right there it is, where I expected it to be!

Wonder of wonders!

Battery's dead, but we can't win 'em all.

Anyone else get annoyed at medical offices insisting you have a co-pay, and then refunding it two months later?

I had one that did this every visit, over and over. And they had to cut me a check every time, because they didn't refund it to my credit card.

This time was just because I'd hit my […]

When you suddenly realize the promotional-branded emery board you're using and recently found while unpacking, came with something you ordered 20 years ago. And the website doesn't exist anymore.

Aaron Allston's Champions RPG supplement _Strikeforce_ and related materials are in the current Bundle of Holding.

And every time he comes up, it makes me sad. I have few heroes, but Aaron was my RPG writing hero. I met him at his home (watched Blazing Saddles with him), got to see the infamous […]

Doing that, "I hate every interaction I have in this beta video game feedback forum. Is the problem me?" thing.

Do you ever wonder how much "if we added you to the band, we'd have to split the money 6 ways instead of 5" enters into band composition?

I also wonder if this is a driver behind artists wanting to go solo... because session artists don't typically get royalties, or the backing band doesn't […]

All CEOs of companies that sell physical products, especially food, should be required to periodically open all of the packaging types.

Getting mad at plastic bags with tear-off tops where the tear occurs _above_ the seal.

While cleaning my office, I got my receiver/amplifier and speakers set back up, and bought an antenna and have been listening to WOGL, the big "oldies" station in Philly (70's to 90's is "oldies" now).

And it's an interesting experience, listening to local radio again. And listening to speakers […]

This is one of those weird things I have trouble deciding what to do with when decluttering.

It's a keychain with an authentic classic Pentium chip embedded in acrylic. It's cool, I don't remember where I got it. If I kept it, how would I even display […]

Huh... after more than 20 years since Boeing sold the Wichita plant and it became Spirit Aero, Boeing announced last month they were buying Spirit back, and they already have replaced the signage.

I worked for Boeing 3 years in the factory and 5 years in IT. And while I haven't lived in Wichita […]

While unpacking and organizing my office, I found a Texas Road House $50 gift card that still has the full balance.

I have no idea how old the card is ("never expires"), but I'm going to say at least 5?

Coincidence that the email for the class-action lawsuit against Google for their Play store monopoly and exaggerated claims of risk in using external app sources... ended up in my GMail spam folder?

I think not.

Heh... so I've got a couple albums from late 1989 and 2006 by Dion. And I had never connected that this was Dion of Dion and the Belmonts, of "Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer" (1961) fame. 😆

The man has had a heck of a career. And it explains why his 1989 album (_Yo, Frankie_) sounds like it […]

Whoops. Getting a 1-day posting ban on r/GenX because historical racism is political. 😐

It's funny how you can talk about things that were the _result_ of racism, but you can't talk about the motivations behind them. Because reminding people that this thing happened because some influential […]
