Hospitals that delay the provision of required rotations to International Medical Graduates on the Standard Pathway, and in doing so exploit them financially, should be prohibited from hiring IMGs. PGY8 doctors stuck on PGY2 salary at the whim of their employer.

Years ago I was sent an article titled something vaguely along the lines of "Don't be a handover wanker" detailing the behaviours EM consultants should avoid when taking handover from night staff

Does anyone know what I mean and have a link?

I really need someone smarter to me to summarise the differences between assisted dying as exists in Australia as compared to that being proposed in the UK

The differences in reception of it by doctors in each location is so huge

The public humiliation teaching style I experienced in medical school (particularly by a notoriously abusive ID physician in Dundee) had me almost bailing out on medicine in my penultimate year.

Break the trauma cycle
Public humiliation is still a common teaching tool in medical education. Here’s how it leaves patients worse off
Many doctors become reluctant to ask questions or seek help when uncertain. This is exactly the opposite of what most patients want in a doctor making crucial decisions about their care.

'...ahead of only Australia , Romania & Russia'

Australia, the 'Lucky Country' ranks with Russia and Romania for structural poverty. And with a Labor government too. For shame 😠.
Luxembourg 86% of avg salary
Portugal 75%
France 68%
Germany 56%.
Even USA median-wage workers keep 35%

But in 🇬🇧 ? A measly 12% — the lowest in the developed world. Even if we include housing benefit, the UK still ranks 39th out of 42 rich countries — ahead of only Australia , Romania & Russia
The answer to this headline question turns out to be 'no', in several interesting ways.
