We’re going to have to come up with a naming competition for all those new lakes in Dublin 7.

I think Polands system of 100k registered voters making a nomination is interesting. I realise people might think it’s too low a bar. However remember, McGregor couldn’t even get more than 16k people to sign an online petition amidst all the Musk astroturfing. So could be a hard measure.

Nothing sums up the muddled generational divide at #Ploughing2025 than young lads going around in DJ Provai masks and auld wans eyeing up the annual yield from a micro-home.

My mind was blown by some game called Combat and also Astroids on a cousins old Atari. Late 1980s maybe.

Seriously, even low level drug dealers have more better OPSEC instinct than these supposed mandarians of US defence. Who invites unvouched for people to a Signal group?

The techbro admin sure looks fucking stupid now. Stop justifying this BS.

Lol.

That mortgage figure is interesting. Kinda shows that people don’t just switch into Blueshirts when they get on the property ladder contrary to much huffing I’ve heard.

The P4G makes much hay about remote work being a boon for rural ares. Even around where I live in Cabra there's more local activity in cafes etc. You kinda get the impression that remote or hybrid is okay for special people like entrepreneurs, but that the rest of us plebs need to be watched over!

Giant sheet of Perspex landed in the garden last night. Given I’ve a four story building on one side and a garage behind me it got some clearance!

Worth stopping at the exhibition outside the Ilac Centre. It asks us to “step back in time” and features photos of the market traders and community that made up Coles Lane. Can’t help feeling it’s an eerie portent of how #MooreStreet will be celebrated as a memory should the Hammerson plan proceed.

And Kieran Rose, who launched a pamphlet documenting LGBTQ+ activism in the unions, where it was clear as day that places like the Quay CoOp and other social hubs provided absolutely vital sanctuaries to build hope and resilience to make struggle possible in the 1980s and beyond.

At this stage no one is surprised to see Elon Musk boosting local Fascists over on the hellsite. But what is surprising is the difficulty in articulating responses in how to combat the "air war" that is piping this into people's minds on a daily basis.

The children of Irish people all across Australia, the USA and parts beyond are absolutely shitting it right now they’ll wake up and find Simon Harris knocking on their window to bring them home.

Driving on country roads is bad enough. I'll never understand how there's never a peep from RSA Ireland demanding proper regulation of those absolutely blinding new LED lights. Same experience as a city cyclist. People ripping though while everyone else is lamped like a rabbit.
