Eventually the writers ran out of ideas, so they just started giving Medjed random unexplained powers that would resolve that issue’s specific problem but then would never be addressed again in the future…

Interesting how Guild Mage Grey is concerned (rightly so) about the Citadel having a bloodline-ending spell in their back-pocket quickly, but nobody ever questions the ‘Name Cloak’ spell which *MODIFIES THE MEMORY OF EVERYONE ON UMORA*, effectively. 😄
