Trump vs new Hate Speech law, if he said this in Australia:
• Influential leader of like-minded armed group
• Identifies a racial group as innately subhuman
• Calls for them and their descendants to be forcibly rounded up and expelled
It’s notable that the president can go on TV and be a total gutter racist, and somehow this isn’t news in the slightest. Says a lot about the sickness of American society right now.
Trump: "They're paid agitators and insurrectionists. Nobody talks about the fact that $19 billion at a minimum is missing in Minnesota, given to a large degree by Somalians. They've taken it. Somalians. A lot of very low IQ people."

A whole bunch of artists and cultural workers have lost work because of the implosion of Adelaide Writers week — writers, producers, stage crew, front of house. None of this was their fault. Something for the Labor premier to think about

Used Liverpool’s tendency to “win” games on xG as a topical Trojan horse to debunk the concept of winning on xG, and why xPoints tables often produce league standings that are clearly nonsense

Is there no simple gut instinct at work here? "This thing lies by design, and unchangeably based on its fundamental technological construction, and is therefore unsuited to replacing human science communication"

Nope. Just gets shrugged off as a minor whoopsie

Look folks gen AI videos are out in the wild so if you weren't already being careful about sharing rage bait videos then now is a great time to start

If you can't trace a video back to a trusted source then I recommend leaving it where it is, like a slice of bologna you found on the street

That’s how you buy loyalty: by giving jobs to people who would most likely never have gotten them under normal circumstances. They will do anything to hold on to that job including breaking laws they barely grasp. Resource dependence theory (Pfeffer & Salancik) led to the “golden handcuff” theory.

Objectively this is utter bollocks. *Sellers* are the ones advantaged by lack of comparable stock, not buyers. In a non-fantasy economy anyway
