All things have an ending, so new things can begin.

Games will still be made. Just not by the sick and diseased monoliths and skinwalking studios that clad themselves in stolen glory.

I long for the relief that comes from an end of disappointment, disillusion, and disgust at what I used to love.

When it lays still and you breathe in the space between stars and remember yourself… nostalgia burns sweet and bright breaking starlight in the memory of a heartbeat.

The fear is still there, from the meat, the animal understands the moment of imminence and tries to cling, sleeves fit tight and snug, resisting being shrugged off.

To spin infinitely fast, and burn impossibly bright, if only for one beat of a bird’s wing.

The darkness isn’t empty. It’s so impossibly full. So full you can’t see any one thing, because it’s brimming with everything.

Kingdoms wither into dust, over and over. Stone, bronze, iron, and glass. The end is always the same, isn’t it? But it’s worth it, for a time. To remember. To feel, and understand, even if you’re just wearing a face that’s infinitely fewer dimensions than your own.

The cycle is getting late. How many revolutions witnessed? How many friends’ and lover’s names carved into stone? So many miracles wrought, battles fought, lost, won, drawn down and drowned.

You get tired.

“I’ve been tired a while now, haven’t I?”

What happan?

- Steam's repack of the update was terrible. My verification fail was 190 files
- Your Shaders. They're stinky
- For some reason Ultra fixes things?
- You may not be running Hardware-accelerated Graphic Scheduling, which 40+ Nv cards need for framegen, yet FSR does not

I forgot to show off my system despite all the rambling.

The Intel is shy. It's hiding under the Nvidia card.

I think you mean something like an integrated GPU, that's sometimes included with a CPU die.

You absolutely can, with the only downside being a higher CPU temp, and the iGPU being most often a bit less powerful.

Enabling it in BIOS and loaded drivers should allow it to be used as easily.

Streaming will have similar efficiency speed benefits, aside from simply freeing my primary gaming GPU of that burden to put more power into game performance.

For a 100$ USD addin card, the value in reclaimed performance and overhead is much better than a potential full primary GPU replacement.

Encoder test: 1080p raw capture video, 3.3 gb, 9:28 duration, 60 fps

Intel AV1
• 1080p -> 720p
• 500fps encode average speed
• 2:24
• 229 mb output size

NVenc for AV1 on Nv 4070 ti/s
• 1080p -> 720p
• 460fps encode average speed
• 2:34
• 577 mb output size

Continuing with OBS settings, be sure that under your streaming options, the proper hardware encoder for your chosen GPU is selected.

Don't be fooled by the apparent power difference between my GPUs, the Intel's AV1 encoding is actually significantly faster and more efficient than Nvidia's NVENC.

Below you can see that both Vtube Studio and OBS are utilizing the GPU under ID 0, which on my example system, it the second Intel Arc GPU.

This frees up the primary GPU for gaming performance, allowing less overhead to be lost to streaming applications, and more power used where needed.

You can verify your settings by using Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) to see if an application is using a particular GPU.

To better see your information, I suggest right-clicking on your header row, and checking to match the first image.

GPU ID / Engine can be seen in Performance tab.

A good rule of thumb is to select your highest potential GPU for high-performance work, in this case I'm selecting my 4070 ti/s.

Adding or selecting an existing application will let you route its resource usage to a listed GPU. As an example, I have pre-added and selected OBS and Vtube Studio.

Once hardware and drivers are installed, you can begin altering application priority per GPU in windows.

In Windows 11, access Settings, click System on the left, then Display from the options on the right.

Under Display, chose Graphics.

If your screen resembles the third, you're there. ✅

Your hardware installation may vary, but ensure your PSU can support the card if it needs external power.

This addin card has no external power requirement, is only one slot deep, and will not block my other GPU's fans, so this is ideal for me.

Be sure to install drivers completely.

Before dipping your feet into the new Dual-GPU adventure, be sure that your hardware compatibility checks out.In this case, the Intel wants a PCI Express 4.0 x8 slot, and has a power rating of 50 Watts.

I have sufficient Motherboard so this is good to proceed, including build space.
