I've come to feel a sense of impeding relief at the inevitable and accelerating crash of the AAA games industry.
It brings me back to unwelcome memories, watching a parent languish and suffer in a hospice bed. Propped up by machines, surviving but not living.

I understand that inflation has made the margin of game titles less, over time. However, digital releases, cost of living increases, and quality have been balancing factors as well.

Ok, no posting from bed, sorry for the radio silence, it's been a little hectic and most of it's been on the road (about 700 miles) or recovering from that.
Good news is I got all the parts for my new build done, won a mechanical bull riding contest, and free wings and ribs for six months.

My computer upgrade project nearly got delayed a few months, due to the usual scalping problem.
Thankfully, I could call in some favors at a few brick-and-mortar shops, and managed to get what I needed in hand with just a 3 hour drive.
...the second option was 8 hours.
