Every time I hear Christian talking points that boil down to “empathy is a sin,” I hear my own little voice circa maybe 1979:
“But doesn’t loving Jesus mean we should want to do those things?”

Every time I had to call the veterans office for my husband while he was suffering with cancer I was asked if I needed the crisis line, I always thought to myself how nice that was available. Now it’s not in a lot of places . This should be the last straw for veterans 🤬🤬
