When did I go from grudgingly creating a Twitter account so I could upload some pictures to actively making a Bluesky account?

I almost certainly won't follow you back unless you're someone I know, but don't let that stop you.

We should be on our guard, they *are* that stupid.

But it's not an 'I win' button - it is in fact a very stupid 'destroy yourself for sure and maybe also the country' button.

Given the excuse to boot of "No talking to the media," I wouldn't be surprised if there's another component that not only will the radicals not be at the helm, but also they envy that when non-radicals who have media training (important!) talk to the press, they *don't* have disastrous interviews.

And because it occurs to me that I only sort of gestured at it: It's really cool that a full-throated "Truth, Justice, The American Way, AND LABOR UNIONS PROTECT US" book was published around 2000. I really enjoyed it, and a lot of its sequels.

If the right-wing is going to go with, "We can't compare ICE to the Gestapo, because ICE only hunts non-citizens," then we need to call this what it is: a form of Holocaust revisionism.

It only makes sense again if you remember to frame it as an anti-Israel position and not a pro-Palestinian one.

The one thing Manchin had going for him was that his ideas were way to the right of what the country needed but were mostly sincere (and to the left of his state electorate) and he bargained in good faith.

Unlike Sinema, for example. Or, especially, Joe Lieberman.

Honestly, if I have a gripe about Flint, it's that he closed ranks with his fascism-favoring colleagues when reports surfaced at just how fascist-favoring they were.

Meanwhile, I had a friend who commented on being surprised to discover left-patriotic American literature like 1632 could exist.

Maybe the play there is marry them, make sure to arrange that you'll get a cut in the divorce, and rely on them leaving you for a younger model before retirement time comes along.

Ironically, my impression of the data is that Gaza did NOT prevent the left from voting Harris much at all. As far as we can see, the left turned out overwhelmingly for the Dem - as usual, more reliably than any other group.

Gaza seems to have depressed turnout - but not among leftists.
