Should I buy an Apple Vision Pro?

3.5k
3,500
Thirty five hundred
Three thousand five hundred dollars

Before TAX, before any add-ons.
That is the price.

Is that the real Cost tho?

I do really like VR, makes me think I should also try an FPV drone. I wonder if anyone knows a good place to start?

I keep seeing people trying to figure out what the Vision Pro is and what Apple is trying to do that is different from others. I tried to do a whole comparison thing maybe people will see it and understand more.

Do we really need Guns in VR? I mean wouldn't something cool to look at and let you interact with the Gameworld be just as cool, if not cooler because it not just another Gun. Any ideas?

Sometimes I look around and see everyone else being all confident and interesting and I know deep down I am just too boring to be like them.

Every major advancement in my career has been because I saw an opportunity to flex and realized "no one owns this" and did it anyway.

Besides, in games, if you break it, they can always roll it back.
lot of cool life things there's nobody who can give you permission or assign you to do it because there's not a role that exists to do that, nobody is paying enough attention to what you're doing, or they're in too much of a scramble figuring out their own stuff to notice you're interested

I now live between my phone and the bed.... Literally

I keep thinking about the Value of my work. I don't want to die knowing it never helped anyone.

I am not sure how that fits with my other aspirations with VR and XR or Spatial Computing I suppose.

One day I hope it will click more. Right now I am just growing dreams and telling others about it.

So video games are often 3d rendered but played on a 2d screen, VR let's you have 3d but in order to market VR you need to crunch down that 3d back into 2d. I feel like it's no wonder marketing videos for VR video games and other games in general are so hard to make.

Sometimes I just come up with VR game ideas, thinking about stories and mechanics and what I can do. I find the experience inspiring and a little sad knowing I can't reach that scope ATM, but I am trying to see what I need. What ideas do you play with?

Right now life is between the phone and the bed with a cough and chest pain. But here's a character I sketched up yesterday right now I call it Bucket head.

Just been checking out what I can about the Apple Vision Pro VR, pre-release for a couple of months. Wrote up a topical article on it for newer techy folks. Feel free to let me know if I missed anything. www.sgxr.dev/post/what-so...
What so Spatial Computing about Apple's Vision Pro?
In the vast digital orchard of the Internet, I've been navigating between the Apple enthusiasts proclaiming there is the freshest tech, and the critics talking about the sour taste of yet another bill...

The time they are changing, is Quest 3 and Vision Pro for 2024. Wonder what else may come for XR and last...

I have this 55+ coworker who was wearing the Ray-Band Meta glasses today at work. That blew my mind! He isn't techIy at all. I guess the glasses format is going to be a Holy Grail mark for XR and if the XR doesn't work you still have a nice pair of glasses. 🧐

Been puttering around for days mixing AI art concept work and hours of hundreds of small digital edits to make this. I do get some weird ship of Theseus moral questions doing it but the concept is fun anyway. Right now I call it Lunar Breach, concepting out ideas for a Moon survival VR game.

Is VRchat the most played VR game so far? From all the stats I can find that is a very much a yes yes yes. IDK how I feel about that. Like VRchat is fun and a great place to learn, experience, and experiment but really is VRchat already peak VR forever? I hope not. #Vrchat #VR

When work needs to be done one can always count on more delays. Still some are better than others.
