I mean the Vision Pro wouldn't earn me more time or money. Maybe I could just work more like 80 hours for 7 weeks, that's like like another job for two months… probably the most doable. I don't have kids, so fuck them. But fuck that's a lot of work and who am I a WW2 vet?

Would purchasing a Apple Vision Pro be of more value than, working 10-15 more hours a week or another job?
Well, It's got a computer chip in it, maybe I could force it to play games? And a quest 3, that can be rolled into what I get from the Vision Pro right?

On the plus side you haven't needed a Facebook account for a Quest headset since 2022, but if you don't want to support them I get it.

But I get your point, It's everywhere, some places are just acting as if the Meta quest 3 doesn't exist and Apple invented mixed reality, but it's mostly a paid hype cycle.

I should state that most of the other headsets are almost commercial use or super enthusiasts unless it's the quest 2 which is okay but I don't recommend it.

$500 Quest 3 is best for PCVR & Stand-alone unless you go all out into wired PCVR with a good rig and the Big screen Beyond $1k + Valves base stations and Controllers $600. Apple's $3.5k set is coming but Apple and games don't get along plus the headset is heavy.
