***** Refreshingly honest Marie D. • 17 May 2025 As an older, and very late diagnosed autistic woman that slipped through the "only children, and most definitely only boys, can have autism" net, and one that subsequently learnt to mask so successfully that she didn't even know she was masking, (she just knew she was 'different'), this book struck so many chords with me. Robin has completely nailed the total oblivion to any possible neurodivergence, and has explained so eloquently what it feels like when that mask is finally allowed to fall. Parts of this book actually made me tear up (and I don't cry easily), parts made me laugh but a lot of it made me go, "Yes! That's exactly how I felt!".
