l make distinction between Poltical and political

The Political is akin to Philosophy and Religion. It is about how we understand our relationship to one another, how we navigate our disagreements, how we make decisions together, how we imagine our relationships within the larger social setting.

Dump is pointing the finger at Clinton trying to deflect the Epstein spotlight. He thinks Dems will back off if the tables are turned. What he fails to realize is that we don’t protect criminals like Republicans do. Hear me. Anyone from any party who is guilty in this should go down. Period.

Maybe Toynbee was right: cultures arise with wide eyed naivete and collapse under overbearing cynicism

In the 60s the nation was horrified by images of racist abuse: the Freedom Riders, the march from Selma, Emmet Till, Medgar Evers.

Now, it seems, it's just business as usual.

"Witches Abroad."

I feel like this has been done before (i.e. "Wyrd Sisters")

(And also too, I find the bickering claustrophobic)

Maybe what we need is something else

25 December 1914 somewhere in France.

They sang carols. There shared cigarettes. They played soccer.

They almost ended the war.

Good news: France has granted us an extension of our visas for another year.

We'd heard horror stories about this process, everything went smooth as silk and took ten days start to finish.

It has become clear that the key to dealing with the French beaurocracy is to find an expert guide.

Neurodivergent conditions don't exist in neat, separate boxes.

They disguise each other, overlap, battle each other, work together to gang up on us, or otherwise create unique presentations that can make understanding and explaining our experiences incredibly difficult

periodic reminder that animal shelters are full of senior animals in desperate need of a loving home to spend their closing chapters in. you may not get the same amount of years you'd get with a younger pet but the love you'll get from an elder pet who knows you're their forever is incomparable

I have nice dreams sometimes.

Problem is they make it even harder to wake up and face the horror.

A subpost

Alyssa shows two signs of autism. Beatrice shows five. Cassandra twenty. They are not the same.

Arthur managed 50 years before burnout. Bernard managed 25. Clarence got to 5. They are not the same.

I get the solidarity of "autism is autism," but ...

Going through some old photos.

One is a portrait of my sib and me.

My SO's reaction: one is openly hostile. The other is dissociating.

I can't say they're wrong.

Realizing that I have abandonment issues.

Not sure where they come from. Perhaps my parents' attitude of, "if we ignore it, maybe it will go away"?

(In any case it's not on any sibling. They did more than they should have had to. [Talk about parentification])

Just a reminder. The Bible is not the word of God. Christ is.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

It's not a story. It's a polemic.

It doesn't understand the core of what it's riffing off.

It's boring.

This is purposefully cryptic.

Five paths diverged in a dark wood.

One is confidence in God's grace.

One is a struggle with God.

One is an embrace of the void.

One is a step by step spiral toward liberating truth.

One is a confidence that liberation is already present.

And I stood powerless to choose.
