Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Bonus question! What do we learn from the NYT's online play of yesterday's events?

Those with sharp eyes might detect a subtle difference in NYT play last month of an event in one city, w 100,000+ attendees, versus play this morning of some 2500+ events w many millions of attendees, in all 50 states.

See if you can spot it! /s

You know that Mafia-like "compact" MAGA tried to force onto 9 universities? And that 7 (MIT, Brown, Penn, USC, Dartmouth, UVa, now UAriz) have rejected? Leaving Vandy and UT-Austin to reply?

Still appalled at how paltry and terrible the NYT coverage of the protests were and how nobody there feels any responsibility to address the criticism. This was not something that caught them off guard. This was many levels of decisions.

Why is the no kings protest not the top story on the nytimes. It’s the top on just about every other news site? 🤷‍♂️

Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.

Your now-regular reminder that no tax cut has ever paid for itself.

Ever
CBO just estimated the macrodynamic impact on the cost of the GOP bill - i.e., "is this bill going to help the economy so much that it pays for itself?"

CBO said that the bill pays for just 3.5% of itself - w/ a tiny upfront economic boost that declines over time. Legitimately embarrassing for Rs.

Ask yourself: If Donald Trump was a thinly-veiled Russian asset, can you name one thing he’d be doing differently?
Donald Trump arrived in Canada and demanded that Russia be admitted into the G7. He falsely claimed Canada had Russia kicked out.
He refused to work out a deal with allies on the Middle East crisis and he left town before President Zelensky showed up.
Surprised?
