It's transit to work day in Mpls-St Paul! Even though I'm a freelance translator and work from home, I use transit to get to libraries to do research. I love it because I can read on the bus and train, or knit, or sometimes even edit a draft. Today, the 87 to the Green Line to get to U of M.

Biked to the state fair for the first time today, and it was great! Parking in the corral was easy. And an A+ sunset on the way home. #mnstatefair #bikesky

Next up, the 61 to the Bell Museum!
It's our anniversary! So @soundslikelara.bsky.social and I are tooling around St. Paul on @metrotransitmn.bsky.social and doing fun stuff. First up, two different donut stops on the 63.

One thing I love about taking the bus around town is the sense of community and seeing tiny acts of kindness. Today my stop was full of slushy snow and a man who was boarding stomped down a little spot for me to step onto, ready to give me a hand. #publictransit

Yesterday was pub day for Punished by Ann-Helén Laestadius. Despite the challenging subject matter--Sámi residential schools in Sweden and the long-lasting trauma of them--what a joy it was to translate this novel. Bean says go get it from the library or your local indie bookstore. #booksky
