As well as being a ‘civil rights lawyer’ who has given support to an apartheid regime that has perpetrated an actual genocide of innocent civilians & children, Starmer seems not to understand the legal concept of telling the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth…

A former Labour UK Minister & MP sentenced to 2 years in jail which takes political corruption very seriously.
In the UK, a judge-led Covid Inquiry has stated that Boris Johnson was responsible for 23,000 unnecessary deaths by delaying lockdown. Yet no outrage or consequences for him whatsoever.

Keir Starmer & Rachel Reeves have been accused of misleading the UKCabinet by using claims that there was a black hole in the public finances to justify tax increases during the run up to the Budget. Looks like the UK Cabinet were misled by Reeves. Read this from the Times

Reeves: the key issue is that the public & markets cannot trust a word she says. And given she is the Chancellor of the the Exchequer that matters.

Reeves’ emergency news conference before her budget: a masterclass in the Bias of Omission & manipulation of the truth. Her aim was to mislead the public & markets that UK finances were in jeopardy.
But this was misleading. The reality from the OBR, was that there was *a surplus* NOT a black-hole.

Another ‘patriot’ eh?…FT reveal that Revolut did not inform UK regulators at FCA & Bank of England, that its CEO was resident in the United Arab Emirates. This has prompted concern among officials & watchdogs in the UK, where Revolut is waiting for a full banking licence.

No EU reset after all, as Johnson’s exceptionalism & victimhood, continues with Starmer. Labour hardens its support for Johnson’s stupid Hard Brexit voted in by angry English voters & imposed, without consent, on Scotland. Has any Scottish journalist asked Mr Sarwar if he agrees with Starmer?

2 huge failures of regulation at UKGovt
1/ The UK Electoral Commission, the regulator of parties & integrity of elections is NOT independent. It is controlled by UKGovt.
2/ Commissioner for Parliamentary Standards, Daniel Greenberg, failing to set standards for UK Ministers. (eg RReeves & by SReed)

Simply glorious conditions on Sgòr Gaoith in the Cairngorms today. A favourite hill, but seldom more beautiful than this. Hope you had time to get out and enjoy the conditions, wherever you went - whether up high, down in the glens, out on the coast or deep in the woods.

In a one-hour speech, Reeves glossed over the arms budget - and yet she plans to increase it by more than NHS spending and is cutting cash for education.

The £2.3bn for lifting the two-child benefit cap is peanuts by comparison.

It’s not where we come from that counts, it’s about where we’re going.

Great to meet Afghan Scots children at Maryhill Burgh Halls and hear a lovely rendition of Robert Burns.

I seem unusual for my generation: I had a German teacher (a German) who taught me Scottish History & German, & a native Gàidheal - 's ann à Uibhist a Tuath a bha e - who taught us Scots agus beagan Gàidhlig cuideachd. Realise now how fortunate I was.
