Thames Water have sent me the annual water bill. Just look at those year on year rises over the last five years. Criminal.

The trade union movement is also against the undermining of copyright. Creative workers are the backbone of our creative industries.
Every major UK newspaper - left, right, broadsheet, tabloid - is running a front page campaign against copyright carveouts for AI training.

I can't remember the last time any political cause had such broad support, let alone one so anti-big tech and so economically consequential.

Stagnant living standards are one of many reasons the Tories were kicked out of office after 14 years - Labour has made it our mission to improve them via renters' rights, housebuilding and raising the minimum wage.

I saw illegality and complicity with war crimes. That’s why I quit the UK Foreign Office, a devastating account by a UK diplomat who quit in Aug 2024.

Ministers & senior officials protected arms deals facilitating death and horror in Gaza and Yemen.

Parliament emasculated. No one held to account.

What this Times article ignores is that this is already happenning with agricultural workers and care workers... and it is a human rights disaster.

As we reported workers live on farms in uninsulated, cramped, mouldy and unsafe housing.

So relentless has been Israel’s assault, and so complete the destruction in northern Gaza that a former Israeli defence minister described the military’s actions there as ‘ethnic cleansing’.

Here's how the Israeli military erased a town of 200,000 people in Gaza. on.ft.com/3DTS14e

Should water bills go up when rivers are full of sewage?

I was on BBC News today saying Ofwat + the Minister should instead:
💦let polluting water companies lose their licences
💷make reckless banks take a haircut to zero
🍃transfer water into public hands to invest👇

Headline translation: Multi-millionaire who bought farm to take advantage of tax break, upset he will lose tax break. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The same newspapers who scream increases in the NMW will damage the economy, are happy to go to the barricades for a tax break for Clarkson, Dyson & friends.
