Last year I published research about how the US is a society that allows those in dominant social positions to engage in violence towards those in lower positions.
If you discuss/protest this violence, you'll be met with violence from those in positions of power as it threatens the social order.

Last year I published research about how the US is a society that allows those in dominant social positions to engage in violence towards those in lower positions.

My favorite question to ask students to demonstrate how we are socialized into being obedient to authority is, "What authority figures are you allowed to question or push back on their decisions?"

I truly believe the reason people don't like/are discourage from discussing politics or religion is because you have to then explain why you don't believe certain people should have human rights.

It is soooo interesting that the party of "family values" has a consistent trend of members being sexual predators and pedophiles, including the president.

I really love that my husband does not let me get pressured into cooking/cleaning at family events.
When I get asked to do something he'll tell me to relax and ignore the request and go do it himself.
I love that for me.

I gotta say that the NCGOP did this in NC years ago and it the story noted that they drew up the maps with "surgical precision" to dilute Black votes.
The impact...no matter how we vote Republicans will have a majority. There hasn't been democracy in NC for awhile.
