I think a lot of what's happening politically boils down to the fact that the US is a failed state trying it's hardest to pretend it isn't. The collapse is not coming, it's been here since at least 2020 and most people don't see it because they think a failed state looks like war torn Iraq.

Tried revisiting it and I still have pretty much the same opinion. The songs are solid, but they're overall not great or groundbreaking. I've seen some people call it a masterpiece and honestly I just can't see how someone would place that label on this album over El Mal Querer.
Lux is a good album in a technical sense and I do like it, but I don't *love* it y'know?

While I'm on this soapbox, threatening primaries to out Schumer as minority leader is not enough. Every one of these fuckers in the Senate needs to be primaried from the left because it's all of them. They're all ghouls.
Democrats' incompetence needs to be studied in a lab as it could lead to the discovery of the most durable substance in the universe, a true marvel indeed
