I’ve needed an escape and so have been turning to fiction, and y’all, I haven’t read in so long a book as exhilarating and beautifully humane as Barbara Kingsolver’s “Demon Copperhead.” I turned the last page and yet can’t get the characters and the writing out of my head. Do yourselves a favor.
