安大略省政府于7月21日宣布，将投资1000万加元，用于加强全省应对极端天气和自然灾害的紧急处置能力。这一举措正值省内刚刚经历过严重冰暴和山火灾害之后。安省紧急准备与应对厅长Jill Dunlop在新闻发布会上表示，这笔资金将帮助各地社区配备如清理工具、机械、挡水设施、食品供应及无人机等设备，以便在发生灾害时可迅速调动应急资源。

It was a pleasure to welcome Minister Jill Dunlop to City Hall today, with thanks to Mayor Sutcliffe for hosting the venue.

We discussed the newly created Emergency Preparedness Ministry and how the City of Ottawa and Ministry can work together to better prepare our citizens.
