The narrative in the U.S. is that government should be run like a business - when really government should be here to provide the critical services we need that aren't necessarily profitable.

Government =/= business

It's nice to know that there are places in the world where childcare is viewed as critical infrastructure. It would just be great if our countries could get on board!

I generally only hear the instrumental - so much so that I completely forgot about the choral component 😳. I'm glad you made it through!

I mean . . . Cheaper than competitors? That's how I'm self-soothing at the moment, anyway.

But here's the thing - there was also a lot of bad done and we shouldn't say "Oh, but he didn't mean it" when Young's sermons did ultimately cause violence.

LDS scholars argue we shouldn't put stock in Young's inflammatory language because that was the preaching style of the time. We should put stock in the good that was done.

Within this context, I'm writing about the @netflix.com show American Primeval and Brigham Young's role in the colonization of the American West.

It's notable to me that these revocations were caught as part of routine audits. These students weren't informed by the government - they essentially found out randomly through their schools.
