#Intersectionality
it’s important to have BIPOC-forward disabled spaces because of intersectionality. we need to protect the multiply-marginalized even when we are facing marginalization as well.

Yup! People refuse to understand intersectionality.

This is how you do intersectionality.
Things like “One person can’t be more Intersectional than another person you are missing the basic concept?” I felt more comfortable identifying as a Critical Race Feminist, but then I watched enough of my heroes in the field say nothing during a GENOCIDE, so no on that identity.

In theory, yes. A leader, never. He thinks it takes the focus off his in-group: white males. He doesn’t get intersectionality.

intersectionality rules everything around me
“.. in a group Signal chat, .. he wrote in part: ‘I fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.’”

[This study is a good demonstration of why intersectionality is crucially important in language & gender research].

fuck yeah, the mandated trainings on intersectionality and systems of oppression restart tomorrow morning, don’t be late

Autism looks different when filtered through culture, gender norms, and systemic bias. Intersectionality isn’t optional it’s the only way to tell the full story

A Black autistic girl is not treated the same as a white autistic boy. Systems see and respond to them differently. Intersectionality isn’t a buzzword it’s survival….

As I dive deeper into the intersectionality of therapy and BDSM, I wonder if it’s ethical for a cuck to be a sex therapist

And, should the clients know they’re potentially getting sexual gratification from hearing the stories?

Think I’ll ask My class this weekend 🤓

Misunderstandings of intersectionality as about identity (👎🏽) versus structure (👍🏽) are so frustrating. Even when people cite Crenshaw, they miss her theoretical sophistication because of their own preoccupation with identity.

Here is the professor in her own words.

At identity intersections, inequality transforms, revealing network patterns that single-dimensional models fail to explain.

I think an important point for why intersectionality isn’t just understanding that people are oppressed for multiple reasons simultaneously, but of the complex ways different modes of oppression interact and are expressed, is the way old folks can be systematically abused but also rule the world

People will make half joking sweeping generalizations about seattle furries and I'll just vacantly nod because I only know like three people here lol
Still, fascinating to hear what people think, I imagine it's a weird intersectionality of "seattle freeze" and furry subculture

Let me make one think clear: I will not censor concepts such as diversity, intersectionality, and oppression now or ever. I’d rather lose work.
A speaker agreement I just received prohibits a looooong list of subjects on the basis of HB261 and I need to understand.

Intersectionality matters, but carbrain can still be a standalone or at least dominant identity for purposes of somebody discussing car infrastructure.

"intersectionality" is the o n l y way.

intersectionality, solidarity, add these to your lexicon, to your very identity.

this is how humans will survive.
There is a REASON this administration started with undermining diversity

Because it is the power of PEOPLE

All people and we can NAME that

This isn’t a “debate”

This is a fight for us ALL.
If we learn nothing else tonight, please PLEASE let's learn that the American people were NOT won over by an absolute firehose of the most vile dehumanization of trans people. Please @democrats.org, for the love of God and all that's holy, let's FINALLY start refusing to throw ANYone under ANY bus.
