When I tell people what I do, they assume I’m very smart. It used to make feel awkward but now I just go with it.

Column | I found the most complete protein. It’s not meat.
The most “complete” protein is probably one you’re already eating.

genuine shout-out to fung wah for driving down the greyhound bus prices, as well as other nyc<>boston buses that were overcharging for years before fung wah was like "you will only pay $15 and you may or may not end up on a bus that catches on fire but you WILL only pay $15"

Josh Allen’s team just keeps letting him down. It’s frustrating.

Today I tried a new show and literally the only thing I liked about it was the soundtrack. Great background music, tons of great songs, everything else was boring as shit. Will not be continuing on. (See, there are shows I give up on. There is bad tv that I won’t watch.)

AOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.

If you're reporting on the deepfake porn site because of Grok, please make clear in the headline that governments not acting are allowing the scaled abuse of women and children online.

Don't say Grok is doing that harm. Grok isn't doing anything. It's human men who are doing these things.

Farewell, MetroCard, I perfected the swipe.

Hopefully in early 2026 I’ll be back living in NYC, so all of this really is relevant to my life

wrong. living in New York City is about frantically swiping your metrocard as your train arrives, repeatedly getting an error, and in the span of a half second evaluating whether you still have the athleticism to jump a turnstile. if you don’t like that then move to fucking Boston.
the amount of sad you should feel about the retirement of the NYC Metrocard should be like “mildly wistful pre-nostalgia” — more than that, IMO, is kinda silly

I hate this country, I hate this administration, I hate everyone who supports mass murdering children
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

Maybe generational divides are real

Wow this interview is SO much worse than I thought it would be.

This is bleak as fuck.
This interview is a snapshot into where tech companies are with online harassment right now.

They know how to end it, but they decided not to spend the money. They’re prioritizing growth (and profit) above all else. And they’re blaming YOU for logging on to the platform they designed to be unsafe.
