Kids are 11 and 16 and we have a hard time even letting them walk 2 blocks to McDonalds b/c they have to cross 10th and red lights are apparently optional. 16yo has started driving and that’s a whole other level of anxiety about other drivers!

Exactly! And people don’t always think about who is paying for it. I’d like to think they’d be astonished if they knew how much $ was in our local school board race.

And then one commissioner talked about the education “market” & another about choice for all, & all I could think about was the relentless arrival of glossy full color mailers from their campaigns. We’ll see who they really answer to, but we all know where the $ is.

And it’s not even February. I have only so much outrage to go around.

Apparently the board meeting last night lasted for four hours. I am simultaneously incensed and exhausted.
