I've seen many comments stating that jewellery will be taken off refugees as soon as they arrive in the UK to fund their stay as part of the policies. This is not true.

The policies are punitive/bad/misguided enough on their own and should be judged on what's confirmed without misinformation.

The judge really lets rip here, at length - the courts have clearly had enough of the Burkes.

He also ruled that criminal contempt proceedings should be taken against Mr Burke as well as his brother Isaac, sister Ammi and mother, Martina for their conduct in court hearings.
“The judge said Mr Burke had not been imprisoned or fined for his views on transgender issues, which he was perfectly entitled to have and to articulate... he had been dismissed from his position for gross misconduct.”

Kick everyone out and fix it. The longer the decision is delayed, the greater the risk of a fatal fire.

Ad hoc repairs cost around £2M a week. This 'delay, delay, delay' approach is not cheap.
A final decision on how to repair Britain’s crumbling parliament is likely to be postponed beyond the next general election, according to four people familiar with the matter.

MPs can’t even fix their own workplace. And they have failed to do so for more than a decade as it crumbles around them. There is no solution in sight.

Political metaphors don’t come more heavy-handed than that.

Is Ofcom coming for VPNs?

Monitoring their use through the narrow lens of whether the Online Safety Act is working is shortsighted.

"VPNs can help protect children's security online too, they aren’t just used to avoid content blocks."
