I keep hearing respected journos say the British people want tough measures to resolve the immigration ‘problem’. Who are they asking and where do they find them? I’ve voted in every election since age 18 and no one has ever surveyed me about my political opinions. Am I unusual?

2 weeks ago I lost Treacle. She was under my desk at work, beside my bed at night & there when I traveled. She even fell in love with Simon before I did. Every day was unconditional love. I’ve never experienced grief like this. Thank God no-one has been stupid enough to say ‘she was only a dog’.
