Hello 👋 Really nice to be here. I’m a freelance illustrator & designer from N. Ireland, drawing my way back to full health after serious illness. Art has been both my physio & life raft during recovery. I mostly draw nature, florals, patterns, people & places.

Sharing this again in hopes of solutions at best, and commiseration at least? 😅

I *have* tried reinstalling the whole app (twice). Dragging brushes directly from Procreate. Uploading exported brushes. Trying various brushes.

This really sucks.
Is anyone else experiencing the new Procreate 5.4 brushes not working in Dreams? They import, pretend like they’re working, but no strokes actually show up.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

Watching *that* speech 😳
What a load of idiotic demented drivel from a bitter talking shit heap.

I’m a huge ‘Severance’ & Helly R. fan, so I created this paper doll of Helly, inc. the ‘Defiant Jazz’ outfit (my fav.)
I think this would fit in a creepy Lumon family magazine 😱😆

So happy to see the amazing @brittlower.bsky.social won an Emmy this week! 🙌

Strawberry sketchbook painting 🍓🎨 Is there anything else more summery to paint?

One of my favourite things to draw and to eat 😋

Would you recommend starting Substack or an email (non Substack) newsletter?

Could use advice for Pros/Cons for both.

TIA 🙏

This powerful message: “I did the research and found out I was wrong.”

I’m not going to say much more except please take the time to watch. Then send it around to family and friends, no matter their political persuasion.

On Pet Remembrance Day, our much missed Sophie; best treat-begger, floof-displayer, paw-in-the-face waker-upper, cosy-place-finder, snoozy-snorer, fluffy-cuddler & silent-meeower (IYKYK).
We had almost 22 years of fun together 🥰

Love to everyone that’s missing their best furry friend ❤️‍🩹🌈🐾

This Fourth of July, I am taking a moment to reflect. Things are hard right now. They are probably going to get worse before they get better.

But I love our country — and when you love something, you fight for it. Together, we will continue to fight for the ideals of our nation.

Finding joy is an act of resistance, but it also feels weird in the face of so much suffering & heartbreak for so many.

Another painting for my wishlist of places to visit; Liberty, London 😍

I adore the building, the history, the care that goes into every part of that building & business inside. Such a pleasure to draw!

I added a little homage to one of my favourite Liberty prints ‘Wiltshire’ 🫐🌿

Bluesky you deserve some fireflies in a cornfield. Not pictured-the young hawk chased away by robins, the enormous kale after the rain, the smell of the tomato plant leaves.

Need a news time out & a bit of good eco news?
I visited a wildlife garden and it was *full* of ladybirds this year. It was so great to find so many after barely seeing any several summers in a row. 🐞🐞🐞🐞

Happy Summer Solstice 🌞🩵🪷✨

I’ve celebrated by sitting beside an open window to finish drawing this, listening to the birds sing and the trees rustle in the wind. Is there anything nicer?

I’m off to find a comfy chair in the garden to rest on. Have a lovely weekend & enjoy the longest day 🩵

Drawing myself a list of places I want to visit. First up - The Winding Stair bookshop & cafe in Dublin. I’ve never been but I’ve been told it’s as wonderful as it looks.

Right now I want to focus on illustrating stylised figures/people and moving away from my fine art training. I also have a month of Skillshare courtesy of a kind friend, any course recommendations for what will help?
