Reciprocal, mindless tariffs are about punishing people that run and work in businesses which provide valuable goods that people overseas want to buy. It’s profoundly anti business.

Somehow, the US has enough citizens that think everything they hear on the news is real. They feel this is a heroic struggle against chaos. They haven’t stopped to think how easy it is to think this and how much time and resources they have available to fight ghosts.

The US enters the Fool’s Golden Age.
RAND PAUL: “.. When McKinley most famously put tariffs on in 1890, [the GOP] lost 50 percent of their seats in the next election. When [Smoot and Hawley] put on their tariff in the early 1930s, we lost the House and the Senate for 60 years.”

It’s well past time for Congress to yank back the power to impose tariffs from the Executive back to where it belongs.

If people are wondering why I’m aiming tariff discussions towards small town America, it’s because that’s where elections have been won and lost over the last couple of decades. They are the ones that have the power to change their choices.

Suddenly, everything in Walmart will be more expensive. Everything will become too expensive. The small towns in rural America have no leverage around this. They gave up their downtowns for cheap imports. These impacts are the direct result of their political and economic choices.

Fascinating video from Patrick Boyle about the current baby bust around the world. There is a massive drop in birth rates and coupling around the world. It’s not just the wealthy and overworked countries.

Tesla will become an interesting Harvard Business Review case study of how long a company can survive when its brand is hated by the vast majority of the market. It will also be interesting to see what happens to the company after the collapse.

I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship. But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!

New ride coming soon.

The stock market is acting like a Bear Market. As it’s searching for a new stable bottom, there will be burst of buying. The sawtooth pattern will continue on a downward slope until the market determines what the economic conditions are.

The Warriors started the season 12-3. They lost their inside, in the paint player, and fell below .500. They got a superstar inside player in a February trade and have gone 14-2. Obviously, that was the missing piece.

Those who are cutting organizations & people that heal and help you while growing those that hurt you aren’t focused on government efficiency. They’re focused on control by force and intimidation.
